Founded in 2010 by Paulus Boike Tojo, Afu-Mena is a versatile company with a remarkable story. Born in Suriname's Maroon village of Witagron, Tojo began his entrepreneurial journey at a young age, gaining experience in diverse fields. He has established strong partnerships with traditional authorities in Maroon and indigenous communities throughout Suriname.

Afu-Mena International is a leading wholesaler of responsible gold, directly sourced from local miners. Our mission is to empower tribal and indigenous communities through collaborations with NGOs, promoting sustainable mining practices and making a positive environmental impact.
